I Ching coin calculator
Enter six totals from your own three-coin tosses. Find the primary hexagram, changing lines and relating hexagram without writing a question or creating a reading.
Enter your six line values
First toss = bottom line; use the same heads=3/tails=2 convention.
How to enter your coin tosses
This calculator uses heads = 3 and tails = 2. Add three coins for each toss: three tails = 6, two tails and one head = 7, one tail and two heads = 8, three heads = 9. Choose this convention before tossing and use it consistently.
Enter the first toss as line 1 at the bottom and the sixth toss as line 6 at the top. Values 6 and 9 change; 7 and 8 remain stable.
What the result means
This tool maps entered lines to hexagrams. It does not toss coins, predict events or generate an AI interpretation. Your entries stay in this browser; the calculator does not save or upload them. A calculation preview is separate from a saved private reading.
With no changing lines, there is no separate relating hexagram. With changing lines, only those lines reverse polarity. The tool identifies the figures; it does not select a rule for interpreting multiple changing lines.
