Privacy and data handling
Last updated: 5 November 2026. Use fictional or non-identifying wording where possible. Do not submit other people’s private records, passwords or information you do not need for your question.
Questions and saved readings
When you cast, YiInsight stores your question, fixed cast, interpretation, follow-ups and processing status on its servers. Access is tied to your signed-in account or a private browser session. Private reading and account pages are excluded from search indexing; this is not a promise that a link alone can never be disclosed. Keep your browser session private.
Accounts and cookies
Email sign-in uses your name, email address and password authentication record. Google sign-in uses the account information supplied by Google. Session cookies allow you to return to your readings. Anonymous browser access lasts up to 30 days; that access period is not an automatic deletion deadline for server records. Clearing cookies may prevent you from accessing guest readings.
AI processing and service providers
To generate a reading, YiInsight sends the question, fixed cast and source material to its configured AI provider. A follow-up also includes the earlier interpretation and your follow-up question. Hosting, database, authentication and job-processing services support this flow. AI responses can be incorrect. Do not assume that AI processing is local to your device or that the provider retains no data.
Birth details and tab-local drafts
BaZi calculations run in your browser. Birth inputs and chart selection, and an unfinished homepage question, are kept in this tab’s session storage to survive language changes. Drafts expire after 30 minutes without an update and are discarded when next accessed. Clear chart removes the BaZi draft; submitting the homepage question clears that homepage draft. Closing the tab normally clears session storage, but a browser may restore it. These drafts are not placed in URLs or analytics.
If you request a BaZi AI reflection, the calculated pillars and chosen language are sent for AI processing. The birth form and timeline are not sent as part of that request.
Analytics and retention
YiInsight uses Google Analytics and product analytics for permitted page and interaction events. Question text, answers and birth details are excluded from product event payloads; private page paths are not public page-view events. Analytics is separate from the server records needed to provide your reading and account.
Server records may remain after browser access expires. There is no published automatic erasure schedule or self-service account deletion in the current interface. Describe the request without sending passwords, codes or private reading content; account ownership must be verified before account-specific assistance.
