Explore a fixed hexagram

Choose time or numbers to explore the Meihua method. The same inputs produce the same result. This is an educational calculation preview, not a saved reading or personal advice.

Calculation inputs

Include Z for UTC or an offset such as +08:00. In two-number mode the timestamp is recorded but does not affect the hexagram.

How this method works

Time mode uses the lunar year branch, month, day and hour branch in your chosen time zone. One-number mode combines your number with the hour branch. Two-number mode uses your first number for the upper trigram and the second for the lower; their sum selects the changing line.

Lines are counted from bottom to top. One line changes. The mutual hexagram uses inner lines 2–4 and 3–5. These methods are separate from three-coin casting.

Calculations come from the 一问 engine. Compatibility tests preserve its existing behavior; they are not independent verification against classical sources. English hexagram labels come from YiInsight’s canonical catalog.
